Reflecting Creations Glory...
Today Karen and i went for a hike to heart lake. the water was still and calm there was barely any wind at all only a very slight ripple was moving on the deep cold waters. overhead the sky was menacing; thick and heavy with the threat of rain.
the water reflected the sky and tree line like a mirror, it was a scene to behold. I was so happy I had my camera with me.

Birds Of prey....
Karen and I took a hike to our favorite place in Brampton; Heart Lake Conservation Area, the weather was mild and slightly cool, perfect for a long hike. the sky was slightly overcast though not too cloudy.
As we made our way deeper into the forest area; suddenly a hawk flew out of the dense forest and blew past us circling a few times screeching loudly a it went, then in a blast of flapping wings headed off deeper into the forest. i managed to capture him as he was turning to fly away.

Dragon Boat Race....
Today Karen and i went for a hike to heart lake. the water was still and calm there was barely any wind at all only a very slight ripple was moving on the deep cold waters. overhead the sky was menacing; thick and heavy with the threat of rain.
the water reflected the sky and tree line like a mirror, the dragon boat races had finished for the day and the teams had all gone for a well deserved rest
... this is a photo of the Dragon boats drifting slowly back and forth on the gentle current of the still lake.

Row Row Row Your Boat....
A few Weeks ago Karen and i went for a hike to heart lake. the water was still and calm there was barely any wind at all only a very slight ripple was moving on the deep cold waters. overhead the sky was menacing; thick and heavy with the threat of rain.
We were walking along the edge of the lake and happened upon a small clearing in the bushes; there not far from where we were standing framed by the foliage, a father and daughter in a small row boat were slowly drifting on the still waters, enjoying a calm warm day at the lake.
