XP2006 and XP2001 roll off the Sydney Harbour Bridge and through Milsons Point with NT31, the Sydney to Brisbane XPT service.
Due to a fallen tree at Normanhurst closing the Main North line, NT31 made a rare trip via the North Shore line. The train left Central and travelled to Eveleigh before reversing up the shore. As such, the consist is 'reversed' in this shot, with Car A now being at the up end of the train.
An XPT travelling through here is an extremely rare occurrence having last occurred 4 years prior in 2020. This was one of those right place at the right time catches as I had just happened to be at Central heading to a dinner when I saw a delayed NT31 with all the passengers facing in the wrong direction. A quick trip on a suburban train got me in position just in time for this shot.

H6 rolls off the Sydney Harbour Bridge and through Milsons Point with a Central Coast line service.
While this may be a common scene today, a new intercity fleet is likely to enter service in several weeks. Testing of the new intercity trains, which are expected to replace the OSCARs on intercity duties, has commenced. The OSCARs are intended to be cascaded to suburban working as the new trains enter service.

8103, 8148, 8128 and 8129 lead 8936, a Pacific National Manildra to Bomaderry loaded grain train. Due to trackwork in the Blue Mountains the loaded train departed west from Manildra to travel via Cootamundra.
This scene has been cosigned to history as Southern Shorthaul Railroad have since taken over the operation of Manildra Group grain services from 1 November 2024. The new operating model utilises locomotives and rollingstock owned by Manildra Group. Pacific National continue to operate Graincorp trains in NSW and Victoria.
