D9016 "Gordon Highlander", at this time under the ownership of Martin Walker, kicks up the snow at Heap Bridge with 2J63 12:00 Heywood to Rawtenstall. 9/1/2010. This was a really cold day, so I only took three shots before calling it a day, especially as it started to cloud up. The ones I got though were well worth having, especially perhaps this one, as I don't know whether we'll ever see this Deltic in action again.

66156 powers off the Eggborough branch at Whitley Bridge Junction with 4R19 13:10 Eggborough to Immingham coal empties. 26/1/2010. Strangely enough this is the only EWS coal train that I seem to have photographed coming out of Eggborough. It doesn't happen now, of course.
