142007 leaves the Chinley station stop with 13:50 Manchester Piccadilly to Sheffield service. 17/9/86. The unit was in the orange Greater Manchester livery, although the monochrome film used for the shot, makes it difficult to make it out. Chinley station was a desolate wasteland at the time. I don't know whether it's got any better since.

A Class 141 departs Leeds with a service to Knottingley in the late morning of the 28th July 1984 . I've managed to get a fair amount of light on this, which wasn't easy under the (then) gloomy roof at Leeds. Mind you, it's not too much better now!

A Class 141 stands at Platform 1a at Leeds on the 23rd July 1985. I used to like 141s. From the front they were a clean, modern-looking design. However I’m not sure I liked the ride quality as much as their appearance!

Brand new 142046 stands at Manchester Victoria awaiting its next turn of duty. 31st March 1986. This was the first Pacer I ever saw in the Provincial Blue livery.
