47544 passes Blea Moor with the diverted 1S47 07:45 Euston to Glasgow Central. 29th March 1986. The railway at Blea Moor looks somewhat different today with the tall semaphore having been replaced by an ugly colour light signal.

47562 "Sir William Burrell" passes Blea Moor with the diverted 1O25 09.45 Glasgow Central to Poole. 29/3/86. This was a very iffy day, with not much sunshine, so I took most of my shots in black and white. The "bashers" were having a field day though and there were lots of photographers out, some of which I've cloned out of this picture.

47449 comes off Ribblehead Viaduct with 1S61 07.47 Cardiff Central to Glasgow. 29th March 1986. The shot was taken on my first ever outing to phot S & C diversions and this was the only shot I got in sun all day! Even then it was only a brief glimpse.

47485 passes Middle Breaks near Gisburn with the diverted 1S61 07:35 Cardiff to Glasgow/Edinburgh - "The Prinicipality". 2/5/87. Myself, Michael McNicholas and another friend spent all day around this location on this date and photographed a lot of diversions. Some were in sun and some not, but fortunately this one was - illuminated by a sunny gleam at the right time.
