43191 "Seahawk" waits to depart York at the head of a Newcastle to Bristol service. 19/1/89. Although I'm not an expert on platform numbers at York, this seems to be in an unusual platform for one of these trains. One thing's for sure, it was a lot more difficult to get night shots at York once the electrification masts were in place and a lot of the character of the station was lost by the removal of the centre roads.

47424 "The Brontes of Haworth" waits under the roof at Leeds with 1M72 16:31 Leeds to Carlisle. 15/7/89. It was always tricky getting shots under the roof at Leeds, as it was very dark and gloomy and in fact this is the only one I ever attempted.
