97204 has a former Class 103 test DMU in tow as it approaches Holgate, York on the 23rd February 1988. Notice the lack of overhead wiring! Pity it was so backlit but I didn't know it was coming and I had to phot it as it was so unique.

31425 comes through Platform 13 at Manchester Piccadilly with a test train on the 14th June 1988. I can't read what is written on the coaches and I've no idea who the test trains belonged to at the time. Perhaps they were BR owned. There were certainly fewer of them in those days.
