I found some of the reddest and biggest poppies I've ever seen growing wild in an unkempt field above Halifax. 21/6/2024.

Snowdrops have always been one of my favourite wild flowers, perhaps mostly because they're one of the first signs that Spring is on its way. This shot of them was taken in Kirkby Malham Churchyard, which had a particularly good display that year. 2nd February 2007.

Without doubt the most stunning sight at RHS Bridgewater was this display of hundreds of Hydrangea Paniculata plants, which form part of a trial to see which varieties grow best. I've never seen hydrangeas that look like this and they were just an amazing sight in these fantastic numbers.
