60010 "Plynlimmon" passes Kirmington Lime Works with 6T25 Immingham to Santon loaded ore. 23/1/91. 60s were just starting to take over the ores and MGRs out of Immingham at the time and it was nice to catch them so early in their career, especially in such an iconic location.

60003 "Christopher Wren" approaches the A18 road bridge at Melton Ross with 6G06 MGR empties from Scunthorpe to Immingham. 23rd January 1991. Tugs had just started working trains between Immingham and Scunthorpe at the time and this was the first day that I'd photted any Tug on active service.

Miserable weather greeted the first-ever Class 60 to work a train over the Calder Valley line. The loco was appropriately 60001 "Steadfast", which was tested over a few days on the 6M54 Leeds to Stanlow working, usually paired with another loco for insurance - 47193 in this instance. The pair are seen at Hebden Bridge on 20th March 1991.
