43152 "St Peter's School, York AD 627" awaits departure for Kings Cross at Leeds on the 30th March 1985. 31418 rests alongside. This is one of the very earliest slides that Michael took. He'd recently converted from using colour print film at this time.

A Class 111 DMU leaves Halifax while working 2E21 15:55 Manchester to Victoria to Leeds. 15/4/87. Halifax station hasn't changed a vast amount in the intervening years although it's been modernised/refurbished in parts. The platform on which Michael was standing is also now inaccessible.

47489 heads through Dryclough Junction at 06:54 on the 2nd May 1987 with 1Z68 Red Bank Sidings to Halifax "Ruggex" ECS. Shame about the weather. This isn't the sharpest of photos but I thought it was worth sharing for its historical interest.
