No. 31 "Hamburg" is seen about to couple up to its train at Oxenhope on the 3rd January 1982. The loco looks like it was about to be repainted. It had obviously been drafted into service to run the Winter shuttles, which only ran between Oxenhope and Haworth at the time, using just a couple of coaches. Hamburg would have been fine for this, or maybe the railway had nothing else suitable at the time.

No. 31 "Hamburg" gets ready to leave Oxenhope for Haworth with a KWVR Winter Service on the 3rd January 1982. At the time these services only ran between the two stations, presumably because that was all the traffic would bear. A bit different to nowadays when the services run full-line in winter, and are invariably operated by an ex-BR loco.

Hudswell Clarke Contractors Loco, "Lord Mayor" poses in steam at Keighley on the 8th April 1984. I can't imagine that it hauled passenger trains on this occasion, being so small. Perhaps it was out and about just to provide a bit of variety.

Ex-Longmoor Military Railway Austerity tank, No. 118 "Brussels" bursts out of Ingrow Tunnel with a Keighley to Oxenhope service. 8/7/84. I seem to remember that the loco was oil-fired at the time. This was one of the best shots I got of Brussels while it was in active service on the Worth Valley, as despite photting it several times, I didn't really know what I was doing then.

I have very few shots of ex-Longmoor Military Railway Austerity tank "Brussels" in action. This is one of them, albeit taken in rubbish light. The loco leaves Keighley for Oxenhope on the 8th April 1984. I'm not sure whether it was coal or oil-fired at the time, but I suspect the former, as the exhaust used to be a lot blacker when oil was being burnt. Note the ex-Metropolitan Railway "Dreadnought" coaches on a normal service train. These seem to be seldom-used these days.
