Whitby West lighthouse in lovely October light. The lighthouse was built in 1831, some years after the west pier on which it stands, which was completed in 1814.

Whitby Inner Harbour with nice reflections and the (then) lifeboat prominently in view. At the time (2006) the lifeboat was a Trent Class all-weather boat named "George and Mary Webb". It has recently been replaced by a Shannon Class boat named "Lois Ivan".
