6115 "Scots Guardsman" & 790 "Hardwicke" pose beside the running shed at Dinting on the 4th April 1983. Note how the Royal Scot dwarfs the most famous and still-extant L&NWR Precedent Class loco. Ironic that they were both built to run over the same metals, albeit in different eras.

6115 "Scots Guardsman" is seen side-on in the platform at Dinting while working the on-site brake van rides. May 1982. I thought it looked great in this livery. Pity it's still not in it, although it's fantastic that it's now in regular main line service.

6115 "Scots Guardsman" is pictured at Dinting Railway Centre on the 24th September 1988. I think that the black LMS livery really suited the loco, although I prefer to have it in green and working on the main line as it currently does.

"Hardwicke" is just setting off from the station area at Dinting with a brake van ride in May 1982. Although this isn't the best of quality, I'm more than happy to have photos of Hardwicke in steam, which I don't think will ever happen again.
