A visit to Golden Acre Park, Leeds. Sadly there were very few "exciting" birds around in the park and in the adjoining Adel Dam Nature Reserve. The best I could come up with was the Mandarin Ducks, of which there were several on the main lake. I can never resist them, so here's a shot of one of the males floating about.

A visit to Golden Acre Park on the outskirts of Leeds and the nearby Adel Dam Nature Reserve. I'd recently seen shots of Greater Spotted Woodpeckers taken there and I never imagined that I'd be lucky enough to get some photos myself, but lo and behold, I did! Someone told us that there was a Common Buzzard hanging around in Golden Acre Park and to my amazement I pulled that in too. I've never photographed one in a tree before! Golden Acre Park. 3/5/2023.
