I attended the 17th Annual Aire Valley Transport Group's Yorkshire Dales Running Day on the 8th October 2023. It was a splendid event with lots of interesting vehicles, both stabled on Bridge Street Car Park in Skipton and running through the town to various destinations in the Dales. In this photo we see a 1927 Leyland Lion PLSC3, former Blythe and Berwick, Bradford 37, KW 1961. This bus has apparently appeared in episodes of the current "All Creatures Great and Small" TV series, although I've never watched it.

1948 Albion Valiant CX39N with Associated Coach Builders bodywork, HUP 236, poses on Bridge Street Car Park, Skipton during the Yorkshire Dales Bus Running Day on the 8th October 2023. This novel-looking half-cab was operated by Economic of Whitburn, Co, Durham.

The vehicle that had everyone talking was this AEC Regal III with Duple body, new to Maudsley in 1948, and operated by Greenslades Tours of Exeter. No-one I spoke to had seen it in the north before. Looking splendid here as it returns to the stabling point after a run to Embsay, it's about to turn into Coach Street from Gargrave Road, Skipton. 8/10/2023.

1952 Leyland Tiger PS2/13A, EHL 335, runs down the main street at Skipton during the Yorkshire Dales Running Day on the 8th October 2023. This Roe-bodied bus, the former West Riding Automobile Company Ltd No. 724 is is now in the care of the Aire Valley Transport Group. I've photographed it before, but it's always good to see it.
