31275 has just emerged from Gledholt Tunnel, Huddersfield with 4M06 10:35 Leeds to Red Bank Sidings newspaper empties. 25th October 1987. If you stood here now, you'd be standing in the service bay of a franchised car showroom!

47402 "Gateshead" heads downhill towards Paddock with a late running 1E99 13:50 Liverpool Lime Street to Newcastle. 25/10/87. I was with Michael on this occasion and my version of the shot is already on Flickr. However his is quite different to mine as I took my shot horizontally, so I thought I'd upload his version. Just a note to anyone thinking of doing this shot for 68s - it's no longer on due to tree growth on the embankment on which we were standing.

45129 speeds past Diggle with 1M58 08:21 Newcastle to Llandudno. 20/8/86. Strangely, Michael didn't take many shots on the Standedge route - presumably because he had enough to occupy him in the Calder Valley, which it was easier for him to get to, being a non-driver.

45106 passes Diggle with 1E79 10:03 Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough. 20/8/86. A couple of years later this loco was painted green and was withdrawn shortly thereafter following a disastrous fire.
