Ex-L&Y 0-6-0, 1300 stands near the coaling plant at Steamtown, Carnforth on the 6th July 1986. I wonder whether the coaling plant is still there these days?

5407 was another loco that was based at Steamtown for several years. At the time it was owned by Paddy Smith. Here it's seen near the coaling plant at Steamtown in July 1982.

A feature of Steamtown who were two foreign locos which had been imported to the UK by Dr Peter Beet. The one pictured here, alongside 5407, is former DB Pacific, 012 104-6. The three-cylinder German Pacific was built by Schwartzkopff of Berlin (11360 / 1940). The loco came to Carnforth in 1975 and it was steamed, although I never saw it working. It was later re-patriated back to its homeland in 1996.
