In an age of chaos and change the irony of a man named Cornwall signing his image with "Yours affectionately" may be lost? Less than 100 years earlier Lord Cornwallis had overseen the brutal suppression of the 1798 rebellion and defeated the invasion by French General Humbert. But it appears that this Cornwall was here in a different role, and may even have been welcome? Let us see????

We round off this week with Cork's Castle Bernard. Have we ever had this many battlements in one location before?

Never let it be said that we ignore pleas from the likes of DannyM8 for more dogs around here! A cocker spaniel pup today, no less, plus a bonus pony/foal [donkey?], pictured with "their Irish Godmother".
Who was this Godmother?

... or is it a giant rug? Either way, it's getting great scrutiny from these two men at a carpet factory in Killybegs. Wonder where it ended up? And is the factory still on the go?

I don't know a whole lot about Frank Ryan, but I'm hoping this leaflet may be a good way to find out more about him, his life, his actions, and beliefs.
We've questions for everyone in the audience here. Who was Franco's agent? Why was he[?] in Dublin? Who were the members of the "Friends of Frank Ryan Committee"? Was the public meeting a success? Who were the "prominent speakers"? Where was Frank Ryan being held? Was he released?
