A charming photograph of Rathellen House in County Sligo with the family kindly posing for Mr. French. The "pièce de resistance" is surely that back to back perambulator holding the two younger members of the group. Even though the occupants are seated, the first thing that came to mind was the amazing creature in Dr. Doolittle the wonderful "Push me - Pull you"!

Mr. Stafford of New Ross was not only blessed with a gaggle of lovely ladies, but fashionably dressed lovely ladies to boot! This portrait session in the Studio of Mr. Poole included shots with "Hats on" and others with "Hats off". Morning Mary considers the "Hats on" version to be the most charming. It is not certain that young Master Stafford would share her enthusiasm.
And thanks to our trusty suckindeesel, we now know that this family is, from left to right...

A couple of days back, ɹǝqɯoɔɥɔɐǝq asked if we are allowed to have favourites in our photos. Lucky I said "of course", because just look at my new favourites – the two girls in the middle here who look as if they're in extreme danger of an outbreak of the giggles!
It is a lovely school photo. But will we be able to narrow the date, identify any of the pupils, or their invisible teacher...?

A rather whimsical photo for us to play with today. It's from a wonderful album of photos by Chancellor [of Dublin?] Photographers. The dress is tremendous, the pages' rig outs almost as impressive.
Wonder if the boys were press ganged into service, or were willing participants in this whole extravaganza? Would also love to know who the woman is. And of course, more about this Déanta in Éirinn forerunner of Guaranteed Irish.

The Krazy Kataloguers have been at it again describing the beautifully constructed temporary emporium as a "Mission Toy Stall"! The vendor is standing in the shadows of rosary beads while statues of the Virgin Mary and Crucifixes stand on the counter would be objects of devotion rather than play? Apart from all of that the children standing in front of the stall make an interesting contrast. The ones on the left are dazzled by the sunshine and are well shod while those on the right are unaffected by the sun and are barefoot!
