Family group taken, we believe, at Killinane House, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow. The photo was ordered by a Mr William Kelly, but whether or not these are members of the Kelly family is uncertain. See Killinane House on National Inventory of Architectural Heritage at BuildingsOfIrelandDOTie.
Some years after we first posted this image, Bernard Healy undertook some research - which suggests that the Kelly family were cattle farmers and landowners. Two sons (William Kelly and John Kelly) seemed to run the family farm in Killinane (and possibly from Ballyteigelea in Borris some years earlier). The 1911 census return suggests that the lady of the house, who is almost certainly not pictured here, was a "good age" at the time of her passing in 1926....

Despite the presence of a child, this is surely not a family photo. Also the timing in 1920, plus the presence of what looks like a tattered tricolour would imply that this is some sort of political or cultural grouping.
Thanks to desmondg47, we now have a location for this photo - taken outside Mount Sion CBS at the corner of Barrack Street and Green Street, Waterford.
The photo was ordered by a Mr Flynn of 45 Mayors Walk, Waterford.
