Doing a bit with reflection with camera down low and 14 mm.
Thanks very much for your kind comments last night. Been a while since one of mine hit Explore. I was thinking they didn't like me :)

Dawn mists almost obstructing the pyramids, volcanic structures on our peninsula far from Egypt :) Taken from a favourite spot on the Peninsula High Road out of Dunedin on Saturday morning. Hope your week started well.

Not as famous as those of Cairo, nor made by man these pyramids were born of volcanic activity millions of years earlier. The walk to Victory Beach goes right between them.

A sealion on a Dunedin Peninsula beach. They get pestered by flies in the summer heat down here and they throw sand to drive the flies away. Taken while showing a friend from Denmark around our Peninsula.

About 150 kg of rapidly advancing mother sea lion! When I woke this morning it was dull and grey. I forced myself to walk to the beach near our holiday stay. The beach was deserted, cold, bleak, sand was blowing in my shoes. I started walking the half hour to the far end of the beach and started regretting having no breakfast, deciding the camera was heavy and I wasn't going to see anything down there. But at the far end were some NZ sea lions, one of the rarest seals in the world. Nearly hunted to extinction in the 1880's. I stayed well clear but this one decided I had taken enough photos and started charging. Amazing how fast they can move on flippers!
My adrenaline shot for the day. I hope you are not having a boring day, things can change :)
