Lt. Col. Cynthia Tinkham (right), of Blanchard, Okla., and 1st Sgt. Chris Creekmoore (left), of Norman, peel carrots during a vegetable canning class at Oklahoma State University. Both are members of the 1-45th Agricultural Development Team (ADT), Oklahoma National Guard. The team will be deploying to Afghanistan later this year to teach Afghani farmers how to increase their overall food production and improve food safety. In her civilian career, Tinkham serves as the Deputy Chief of Personnel for the Oklahoma Army National Guard and Creekmoore is a senior member of Personnel Office’s staff.

Vermillion is a member of the 1-45th Agricultural Development Team (ADT), Oklahoma National Guard. The team will be deploying to Afghanistan later this year to teach Afghani farmers how to increase their overall food production and improve food safety. In his civilian career, Vermillion serves as a Supply Sergeant with the Oklahoma Army National Guard’s 145th Army Band.
