In 2007 we visited Varanasi and took an early morning walk along the Ganges. Back then I was starting out with a little Fuji F11 pocket camera and little photo editing experience. I found this image today when sorting through my folders and I think there are a few others worth sharing too....

2024 has been a busy year with many photos taken and few shared. I feel compelled to return to my collection from Japan and in this case from wonderful Nikko and select, with the benefit of hindsight, some of my favourites. When we first arrived at the temple complex I was somewhat underwhelmed by what confronted me and not overly impressed by the pricing structure, however by the time we reached the Yomeimon Gate I was converted! Considered to be the most ornate temple gate in Japan, it and the surrounding temple complex is extraordinary to say the least!
