I think this fungi is called Turkey Tail but I can't be sure. This one in the middle of the frame really stood out among the others with a dark blueish-y purple hue reminiscent of ink from a pen. Anoka County, MN 04/22/23

Well since the trees just weren't that amazing up north, I turned my attention instead to the plentiful and colorful mushrooms. I'm terrible at identifying mushrooms but I think this one might be a type of "Polypore"(?) Lake County, MN 10/11/21

I've never paid a whole lot of attention to fungi unless I thought it made for an interesting photo. Such was the case here where a recently tipped over tree allowed me to look downward at this colorful growth. I've narrowed down my identification toe either "Turkey-Tail" or "Mossy Maze Polypore."
