Tram History
68 was built for the Paisley District Tramways in 1919 by Hurst Nelson, Motherwell and became Glasgow Corporation tram 1068 when Glasgow took over the Paisley system. It survived in service until 1954 and arrived at Crich in 1960.

Tram History
In May 1946 Glasgow Corporation Transport received approval to built one hundred new trams. The design was designated Mark II "Coronation" or "Cunarder" class and the first tram 1293 entered service in December 1948. The new trams differed significantly from the older design. They were six inches longer than the pre-war Coronation trams and could seat a total of 70 passengers (40 in the upper saloon and 30 in the lower saloon). 1297 entered service in 1948 and was withdrawn in August 1962 when the system closed

Locomotive History
08069 was built at Derby works twenty seven years earlier in 1954 as 13084 and became D3084 in the 1957 renumbering scheme. For the first eleven or so years it was allocated to my home shed Nottingham MPD until transferred to Crewe South in March 1966 moving to Crewe Diesel when Crewe South closed in November 1967. Shortly after in January 1968 it transferred to Landudno Junction moving to to Chester in February 1972 when Landudno lost its allocation.In November 1973 it transferred to Holyhead before transfer to Birkenhead in August 1974 where it remained until April 1977 when it transferred back to Chester. In July 1982 it transferred to Carlisle Kingmoor where it was withdrawn a few months later in February 1983. It would end its days at Doncaster Works being broken up in March 1984.
