I stumbled upon pictures from another country and Jeff was in the area to fill me in on his work.

A photographer himself, he was happy to relay the stories behind the pictures hanging on the wall behind him. All scenes from a visit to Guatemala. His girlfriends family happened to be living in the country and so they had a prime opportunity. With his girlfriend as his guide he toured all over.

After he had me sold on visiting, he shared some stories that had been relayed to him about a kidnapping. some parts of the city had different ratings and there were some that were to be avoided. He had asked his friend why he has a tinted windshield to his car and there was quite the story to go along. The short version...tinted windows keep would be attackers from knowing how many people you have in your vehicle and hence if you would be an easy target.

Despite the risks it still seems like a wonderful place to visit (especially with a guide). Thanks for sharing your experiences through images and stories, Jeff!

An airbrush and reclamation artist. When I had passed by on my first go around he was not there, but I enjoyed the artwork and grabbed a card. I was happy to see him sitting on his bench when I came back the next time. 'Hold that pose', and here is Richard.

His War-Torn Industries has some great pieces made from reclaimed pieces from the past and some new. The bench he was sitting on was actually a missile carry case.

He had been air brushing for quite some time, and I was glad to see he was doing more with it than just making shirts at the beach. He said that would have made him crazy if he had to do that.
