I am leaving on a bird/wildlife photography trip to South Africa with friend from the USA and a friend from South Africa (who will be our guide) for the next twenty-eight (28) days, so my Flickr presence will be limited. The map indicates our first three weeks of travel, beginning in Johannesburg and ending at Cape Town. We will be self-driving and birding (in order) Magoebaskloof, Pafuri, Kruger National Park (staying at Punda Maria, Shingwedzi, Mopani, Letaba, Olifants, Satara, Skukuza and Pretoriaskop rest camps), Mokala National Park (Lilydale Rest Camp), Karoo National Park (Karoo Rest Camp) and The Garden Route (Ebb & Flow Rest Camp) on our way back to Cape Town. We will be taking day trips out of Cape Town to Rooi Els, Stony Point, Table Mountain and West Coast National Parks and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, and finishing off the trip with a day of pelagic birding out of Hout Bay in Cape Town. I hope to process and post a few photos while on the trip, and will save the bulk of my processing/posting for when I return home. Until then, best wishes!

After being relentlessly pursued by the drake in this photo, this female took off, made a lap, and landed right in front of him. He seemed to approve of her technique, and continued his pursuit.
