The tram is rumbling along Tulketh Rd. and is seen passing the junction to Powis Rd.
The vehicle was made a short distance away at the works of Dick Kerr and Co. Strand Rd. Preston.

Just adjacent to the ladies underground lavatory. The destination indicator reads 'Ribbleton'
It's easy to guess the direction in which a tram is travelling by looking at the angle of the pole. Prior to the introduction of the bi-directional pantograph, the tram conductor would have to manually swing the pole 180 deg. before setting off in the other direction.
