I club hopped with the intention of streaming live DJs while getting some emails done. Was pleasantly surprised when Exhale was playing progressive house and not the usual hardstyle*.
Actually stayed, vibed hard to the tunes (thanks DJ Keenan!), got gifted some glowsticks (thanks Rizzy!), and had a great time with new friends who were just there for the music. Forgot all my gesture triggers!?
It's been a long time since I had this much fun in an SL club. Of course I had to take a souvenir!

Recently in RL, I did a colour analysis of my complexion and it has become my new obsession! My mum has Spanish & Chinese-Filipino ancestry, and my father has Malay-Filipino ancestry, so I'm something in the middle. Turns out, my brown has 7 shades of neutral and cool undertones and the colour palette that suits me the most is Deep Winter!
Which also explains why most real photos of myself rarely show the brownness, and I always end up looking fair in photos with flash, or soft light (similar to Priyanka Chopra, who turns out to be the same skin tone as me this whole time!).
Also why it's been so rare for me to find brown shades that match my skin (they mostly cater to warmer browns!) and I've had to mix and match lighter and darker browns to get something slightly in-between shades.
And so, in SL I've been on a side quest to try and find a skin tone that is closest to my RL so I can keep consistent with my colour discoveries.
For most of my SL, I'd choose something darker to mimic my tone after a beach trip, but it was always "too brown" or "too red" and never really felt like me. I was never really Sunkiss, but also never really Brownie (although I always wore Brownie).
Thanks to someone's post on Flickr, I discovered the store Moccino, who makes face skins in this new tone I'd never tried before: Illa - a miracle of a tone! Right in-between Sunkiss and Brownie!
So I ran to Velour to find the matching body skin, but there was no Illa in the recent releases. Thankfully, I found it tucked away in their older vendors. Gosh I'm late to the party! But I do hope they include Illa in their latest releases once again! Or at least hope these all stay useable for a long time.
Nothing deep here, but equally as important. :P I'm very happy to be able to play with my colour palette in SL, and happier to have Gigi looking more like me, finally! Goodnight world ♥
