The story behind it... The hubby spent days preparing that pate en croute, I even helped him and we were super proud of it. Then, as he had finished inserting the gelatine and about to put it back in the fridge, he stumbled trying to avoid a Chihuahua who was sneaking in the kitchen and the whole beautiful pate went flying and landed on its croute... I will not mention the words that came out of the hubby's mouth at that precise moment, although you can well understand the frustration seeing all that hard work destroyed. We were able to savage part of it, so here you go, a slice of our salvaged pate without most of its croute :).

And don't worry, the culprit was very quickly forgiven and even got a bite of it.
