The spring dalesbus season is now operating, the main change is the firstgroup flirtation with the services is sadly over. East Yorkshire & Reliance now operate the Hawes route still with deckers and a slightly amended timetable. Here Reliance BJ11EAE climbs out of Cray and onto "the tops" before the decent into Richmondshire.

I guess this could be West Bromwich a few years ago, or even Sri Lanka recently maybe but no this is Barnsley in July 2019 ! NOA449X has been living in something of a time-warp for many years. Sold to a farm in the Midlands it has been carrying farm workers around on and off road with minimal tlc ever since. Recently sold from there.. its future is lets say "undecided".

Oxford Taxis Ltd own several olympians, their availability seems to come and go depending on requirements but the latest to receive TLC and use is TIL6571. There are 3 of these but only this one has been repainted red. Awoken early it operates to the West of Oxford on a school contract and then berths in a rural layby during the day before doing the same in reverse. There are quite a few of these Hong Kong Olympians moving around between operators at the moment, with one even moving to France recently.

The olympian era at Transdev is almost over as they say. This is No 2005 J113KCW brought into the business with the York Pullman work and repainted yellow for schools, ending its days at Harrogate. It left there on the 13th May for the final time and is posed here at Jubilee Park, Pannal. This is a new Bellway housing development which sadly pushes the Harrogate boundary even further South. The bus was new to Preston in March 1992 and has served every owner it has had well. Sister bus (inlaw) H550GKX will follow it shortly with the last one G281UMJ almost certainly going direct for preservation.

The tower blocks in Thorpe Edge, Bradford were constructed between 1955 and 1957, they remain largely original externally. First Leeds 37674 illustrates another past era in rider livery operating the 640 to Bradford. Photographed on the day when one of the Leeds garages provide buses for Bradford services.
