The drink known as the Doctor Funk was inspired by an actual Doctor Funk and contains a potent mix of dark Jamacian rum, absinthe, lemon and lime juices, grenadine, and simple syrup.
The Doctor Funkenstein is a reformulated version of the drink from the book Tropical Standard: Cocktail Techniques & Reinvented Recipes that adds some passionfruit and guava puree to balance out the absinthe and swaps out the Jamacian rum for a lighter blend of Caribbean rums.
