This is the reason Geihlen has had to wait for an update on my Star Trek build. I got sucked into making a totally functional LEGO gun that shoots 8mm BB pellets. Apart from the pellets and the rubber bands this is 100% LEGO, albeit I am using a MouldKing motor as LEGO don\'t make them any more. Watch this space.

I was away this week, but came back to find all my Bricklink orders have come in. So here you see all the parts necessary to build my new Star Trek model the USS Dorn, the development of which has been chronicled here. I will endeavour to post progress updates as it comes together.

Back in March I attended two LEGO exhibtions at Reading and Bricktastic, Manchester. Since then I’ve mainly been making repairs and improvements to three of my motorised models. The Ark needed a new motor and the Rover (which has yet to appear online) had all its motors switched to Control+ so it’s easier to drive. However third model (which again has yet to debut online) needed a total tear down and the reworking of its innards to fundamentally change the way it works. That is now complete, it works as demonstrated here, and I can get on with the rest of my life.

I'm calling this done unless anyone has any great ideas.

The area under the nacelles with the grey telephones is still bugging me, but I figure now I'll build it and then see how I feel.
