Originally commissioned by the Royal Tasolian Navy, by 2386 almost all the Resolute class gunships still spaceworthy were in service with pirate smugglers aligned to the Glisi Syndicate. Dismissed by the navy as sluggish and under-armed, the pirates ran the engines close to critical, ducting power directly from the reactor core to the weapons systems and upgrading the cooling to vent excess heat.
Redubbed Requin Class they displayed an impressive speed to firepower ratio that helped them evade the gunboats of the very navy who first commissioned them. Pictured here the flagship of the Glisi Syndicate became know to the Talosian navy as Requin Alpha and was eventually scuttled by her master Tor Dmalt in 2401 as Glisi began to cede power to the rival Wass Syndicate.

After the classic space carrier this was the first time I designed a MOC in LDD and then built in the brick.

It lights up! There's a ring of 8 blue LEDs inside connected to a pair of coin batteries. I took these pictures in quite low light on a long exposure and the LEDs light up the model quite nicely. There's no post-processing on the engine glow at all.

I really wanted to take a picture of the underside of the main wings where there's load of greebly detail, but it's hard to see.

More light-up goodness. Note the stand which uses two minifig microphones to connect loosely into the mixel ball socket pieces.
