So after a break I’ve finally got back onto this and completed this first “finished” version. There was quite a lot of internal mucking about as a result of the study model to redesign the internal structure for maximum strength.

You’ll notice the rear facing of the left side “wing” isn’t in place; which is because some tiny LDD offset seems to stop it slotting neatly in (grr). It’ll work in the brick.

Anyone got any further comments or ideas?

Only just getting around to updating the WIP. This is basically the frame for the whole model, which by design needs to have the big structural core of the “wings” embedded into it. The wiring is in place and right now it’s actually surprisingly sturdy. Next step is to start building the modules that will attach to it.

The trailing edge of the "wing" is on. It's only actually attached by a single clip, but it's pretty well wedged in and doesn't seem to move.

Lots more progress. Built up a ton of the various modules that fix to the frame including the warp drives. Test fitted two of them on one side and amazingly – IT WORKS!
