On any highway, cracks can turn into potholes. The SR 20 Deception Pass Bridge is no exception. Much of the highway between Frostad Road on Whidbey Island and Sharpe’s Corner on Fidalgo Island is due for repaving as the pavement has ruts, potholes and cracks. The repaving will take place in summer 2015. Most of this area last was paved in 1994 and 1996.
