During the night of Wednesday, May 27, 2015, crews working for WSDOT reached a milestone in the effort to build a new SR 162 Puyallup River Bridge. Crews closed one lane of SR 162 to allow for delivery and installation of massive girders. Workers skillfully used a crane to take the girders off a semi-truck, hoist it over the McMillin Bridge and then set the girders onto the bridge piers.
