During summer 2015, crews working for WSDOT will begin an effort to clean and paint the Simpson Avenue Bridge in Hoquiam. The span on US 101 was last painted in 1992. Painting the bridge helps preserve the structure by protecting the steel from rust and weather. See more at the project web page www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/us101/simpsonavebrdgpainting/.

Here's the color of paint that will be used on the Simpson Avenue Bridge on US 101 in Hoquiam. It’s called “Steel Gray." WSDOT generally maintains the bridge’s original color during painting projects. The span over the Hoquiam River will receive a fresh coat of paint during the summer of 2015. The key link on US 101 hasn’t been painted since 1992. See more at the project web page.
