During the week of Nov. 13 a small section of rock and hillside slide down into the catch area along northbound I-5 in South Whatcom County. This catch area is designed to provide an area for debris to accumulate and keep it away from the road. On Monday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Nov. 21 WSDOT maintenance crews will close the right lane of northbound I-5 from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day to clear these rocks out. This closure is near the Nulle Road interchange north of Alger, WA.
