In November 2015 the hillside above SR 18 just east of the Green River slid, blocking the westbound right lane. After the debris near the highway was removed, crews covered the remaining material to keep additional rainfall from soaking into the hillside. A final hillside repair was completed in November 2016.

To permanently repair a hillside that slid into one lane of SR 18 in November 2015, WSDOT contractor crews removed the debris from the slide in November 2016.

A weekend of work in November 2016 allowed WSDOT contractor crews to repair and stabilize a hillside above SR 18 just east of the Green River. A slide at that location in November 2015 temporarily blocked one westbound lane of SR 18.
