I spent a number of days between the holidays with a good friend in the Phoenix area. My first night there, we were treated to a spectacular sunset sky while shooting Red Mountain's reflection in the Salt River. The peak was absolutely glowing due to the fiery sky in all directions that evening. There's also not many places that would still be harboring fall colors at this time of year!

The Common Merganser
( merges Merganser) is a species of duck native to North America, but also found in certain areas of Europe. Both sexes carry elegant features, although they have very different colouring. The common Merganser is the largest of the duck species and a symbol of Canada's natural beauty.
