A while back, Thorsten asked me if I could give him a hand with a 30's police car / ambulance, as part of his upcoming "Arkham Asylum" MOC, due sometime between the 3rd and 10th of October. As you can imagine, It's just a huge honor for me to be a part of it!
So I took this perfect opportunity to build something that has been on my mind for a long time, the 30's Ford Model A, in minifig scale - above, the sedan version. I've set my challenge to resolve some the particularities of the cars of that age, like those 3D angled sides, the variation of widths along the car's body and not to forget, that little windscreen "kepi"-like shield.

I'm pretty sure I would never thought of this scene if it wasn't for that awesome bi-color BA pistol, which I have just received a few days ago from my friend JF. Thanks dude, you couldn't fit it better! Speaking of "fits", while I'm sure there are some better "faces" out there for a Bruce Willis minifig, I chose this one, because you just can't beat that grin! So Willis! :)))
I was planning to let the wagon version "breathe" for a day or two, but what the heck. Since they're both part of the same... "theme", I guess they go together.

Stay tuned for Thorsten's "Arkham Asylum"!

The cars roll, they fit a driver and I've tried to pack as much detailing goodness as my skills allow it at this point, as I really want them to live up to the expectations of a Xenomurphy MOC. Also, I'd like to pay all my respect to Karwik, I've learned (a lot?) about tube building by watching his fantastic trucks and cars.
Well that being said, just before they'll get packed and shipped, I've allowed myself a little fooling around with the cars. I've kept using the plural in my description, as there's also a sedan version to go along. If you like this one, keep your eyes peeled for the sedan but even more, for a lot of action in Xenomurphy's "Arkham Asylum"!
