Several of the estimated 125 hot air balloons in attendance at the New Jersey Festival of Balloonning in various stages of inflation on the flight field prior to take off at 6:50 AM on Saturday 7-28-2012. The festival runs through Sunday.
Shot with my Nikon Coolpix P510 point and shoot from about 1000 feet away. Aperture priority mode, F6.3, ISO 100 which gave me 1/200th shutter speed.

This is the end of what's left of the 59th Street Pier in Ocean City New Jersey. The pier has been slowly deteriorating since it was damaged in the early 1990s by a storm. Much of the other end of the pier remains in place but the end connecting the pier to the land is mostly gone now. There are two old postcards from 1949 that show what the pier looked like when it was still in one piece here: www.cardcow.com/272753/bathing-beach-public-fishing-pier-...
Shot with my Nikon D7000 with the Nikon 28-70mm @ 28mm. Exposure was a single twenty second long exposure shot in manual exposure mode, F20, ISO 100 with a B&W 110, 10 stop neutral density filter. Black conversion done with NIK Silver FX pro. Camera mounted on a tripod in portrait mode and shutter triggered with infrared remote.

This is the 14th street Pier in Ocean City New Jersey during a trip to photograph NJ piers with Darren Landis back on 8-12-2012. The pier is 635 feet long, extending from the Ocean City boardwalk out into the Atlantic Ocean. The Ocean City Fishing Club, which owns the pier, is the oldest fishing club in the United States. There is a live webcam that during the daylight shows the pier available here: attheshore.com/livecam-fishing-pier
Shot with the Nikon D7000 and Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 18mm. Manual exposure mode, F14, 25 seconds shutter speed, ISO 100, spot metering with B+W brand 10 stop neutral density filter on front of lens to allow the long exposure during daylight. Camera on tripod. Shutter triggered with Nikon infrared remote. Manual focus. Processed in Photoshop CS5. I used DxO FilmPack 3 to add the Kodak Portra 160VC film emulated look.
