My 28-105 lens from Minolta had a blur on the lower right corner. No chance to clean it, as it was inside. As you might guess, also no chance for maintenance or repair. All you get back is normally: "We have a wonderful line of Sony lenses, and we will give 20 francs for it!" So I was happy to find another one second-hand, which works perfect.

So I decided to take it apart and see what all is inside the lens. As this is a Minolta lens, no motor is inside. More compositions with all these parts will follow.

My Sony A7 went once down with the new lens only three weeks old. I tried to fix the broken lens myself, as repair service told that they fix for nearly the price of a new one.
My fix did not work, as the damage was too much. So went for a new one and dissected the broken one.
What you see here is the small motor for focusing seen through the front element of the defect lens.
