47361 "Wilton Endeavour" passes Heaton Lodge Junction with 6E36 Holyhead to Humber. 27/8/87. As stated elsewhere, this train was really elusive, so I was especially pleased to capture it on this occasion with a unique-liveried loco at the head.

In its unique yellow-stripe livery, 47305 leaves Horsfall Tunnel with 6E31 Weaste to Port Clarence. 13/10/87. This was another Thornaby "Depot Pet".

47334 is seen passing the site of Eastwood station with 5Z55 Blyth to Ellesmere Port Cawoods containerised coal train. 18th June 1987. This was one of the first trial workings of the Cawoods and when it started running "properly" the train was invariably Class 56-hauled, so this shot of a Class 47 at its head is pretty unique. I was lucky to capture this, as I had no idea it was coming - as one didn't in those days. The soft focus effect is caused by a crap lens that I was using at the time!
