Hidden Lake is about 5km trail one way at Glacier National Park, Montana. We hiked twice during our trip. The parking is a major challenge at Logan Pass, either visiting early in the morning or afternoon when some visitors leaving. The first part of the hike to the overlook is uphill on a boardwalk, with only moderate elevation. The non-boardwalk parts are easy dirt trails. You can’t get lost. The β€œlookout” is pretty. You can hike down to the lake.

The first visit was afternoon, we stayed at lookout for a while, enjoying the quiet time with mother goat and her baby for over half hour. The second hiking was dark in the early morning for sunrise, almost no people. I walked down to the lake, enjoyed the peaceful sunrise.

The beauty of the sunrise at Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, Montana is truly breathtaking. As the sun begins to rise over the majestic mountains, the sky is painted with vibrant hues of pink, orange, and gold. The soft morning light illuminates the rugged peaks, the air is crisp and fresh, and the silence is broken only by the gentle sounds of nature awakening. Rockbound lake trail is an 18.0-km out-and-back trail near Lake Louise, Alberta, considered a challenging route. We started in the early morning, to get the parking spot, the parking lot was full quickly. A steady uphill trek takes you 8km to this magnificent alpine lake nestled in a horseshoe of towing rock. The trail enters the horseshoe behind Castle Mountain passing by Tower Lake before pushing the final km of switchbacks to Rockbound Lake. We were excited when we saw the yellow larches at Tower Lake. It was fantastic with Castle Mountain as a backdrop and the golden larch trees reflection in the water. Continued to Rockbound Lake, the final a half mile of climbing was tough, slippery, and muddy. But we had this reward on the top! The most beautiful glowing latches and the lake was 360 degrees surrounded by mountains. The clouds covered the mountain tops making us feel like we were on top of the world. But the light just lasted a few minutes. It was snowing, the visibility was very low, we had to climbed down before the snow covered the road...

The hike to the summit of Sulphur Mountain is approximately 5.5 kilometers long and is considered moderate in difficulty. The trail starts at the base of the mountain and gradually ascends through a forested area.

There is an option to take the Banff Gondola to the summit instead of hiking. However, hiking experience was great although the trail becomes steeper and more challenging as it approaches the summit.

Once at the top, I was rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and the Bow River, and β€œAtomic Bomb” over Banff town.
