I will probably regret this.
These days I prefer to keep quiet about my favourite locations lest I add to the madding crowds by divulging.
But in this instance I'll spill the beans because I believe the people that run Meat Cove deserve a bit of free promotion.
Some might say that $40 per night to park your RV on a spectacular cliff edge is a little bit pricey. I think it's an absolute bargain.
Your $40 includes access to a full shower and toilets but most importantly, you get to wake up to this.
They only have a few camp sites at Meat Cove because it's such a tiny area so they are limited as to how much money they can make.
Camp site 11 has crumbled away into the ocean but we saw a brave young couple tenting on what remained, even during torrential rain.
You can see our Bigfoot perched just a few feet from oblivion.
I can't wait to return in the autumn when these mountains are peppered with shades of gold and red.
Thanks for reading.

Half the battle with photography is being able to let go of a composition and move on to what's working for you.
The sun was setting over a nearby hill and just barely hitting these gorgeous lupins. I can't wait to show you this vlog.
About 10 seconds after I took this shot the sun went down and the lupins lost their magical glow.
I'll show you the difference that 10 seconds makes as the composition vanished before my eyes.
On another note, I hope you're managing to deal with the spamming scammer that's bombarding my comments section to try and fool you into some scam or other.
I decided to make a video explaining how to spot these scammers and also how you might have a chance at winning one my beloved cameras.

Like some three-fingered alien claw, this tree looks more like a giant picking up a boulder for ammunition in a pitched forest battle.
I wouldn't want to the the recipient of that caber toss.
So far, I'm finding the forests of Nova Scotia to be truly enchanting during the summer season.
I can't wait to revisit during the autumn when hopefully that canopy will be glowing gold.
The vlog for this adventure should be out in a few weeks. Till then, enjoy this hand held shot with the 14mm.

While my domestic life is in turmoil with the church conversion (see Hardcastle Towers www.youtube.com/c/HardcastleTowers), I can honestly say that 80% of my adventures have resulted in enchanting views like this.
Even on grim days, or perhaps because of the grey weather, I'm often inspired to stop and take in moments such as this.
If I had to choose just one word to describe Nova Scotia I'd pick 'weathered'. There is no surface on this coast line that stays pristine for long.
Lichen grows on almost everything which provides the artist with some fascinating textures and colours.
Ice, snow, rain and sun leave their mark on all things, including the people. It might be a hard life here but I'm lichen it...
Thanks for looking

I thought I was silly for standing so close to the edge in order to get this shot but apparently not the silliest.
While I was recording a tutorial, a lady walked right to the edge of that cliff you can see on the right and it was so nerve-wracking I had to look away.
Nothing bad happened and she got her selfie but oh man, I guess we all have different limits.
I just didn't want my tutorial to contain footage of someone's last moments on earth.
Anyway, the tute turned out great and I was lucky enough to bag this shot during my visit.
I can't wait to finally make it down to the beach at low tide. I'll be sure to keep an eye on the exit.
